We have started the process of resurfacing our all-weather gallop, which happens every year around the end of April. It takes 270 cubic metres of equestrian wood fibre from AW Jenkins to cover the 7 furlong gallop. We then make it 4 inches thick to top up the original base.
Once the fibre is down we always find the horses improve from working on the new surface. It enables them to become sharper ahead of the better ground through the summer months.
