Chief Dan George has undoubtedly been the star of our yard in recent years, his grade 1 triumph at Aintree culminated in him being awarded the highest rating of any novice in the country during that season.
After winning two well contested novice events as a chaser he was sent off favourite for the Scottish Grand National, for which he finished fourth in. The following season after a low key start he found his form and beat a previous Hennessey winner at Doncaster and then followed up ten days later with a fantastic win at the Cheltenham Festival for his owner and wonderful friend Maurice Chapman.
Chief Dan spends him time in his own 50 acre field with a few of his friends.
